Moses Lake Youth Hockey Association

As outlined by USA Hockey, youth coaching and other volunteer positions require a number of certifications depending on your role.

Every volunteer will need their own USA Hockey Number. This ID number is how we track your certifications and must be updated annually. Please visit USA Hockey Memberships to get your number. Make sure you are selecting the correct role and are using your legal name during registration. 

• Player/Coach for ON ICE coaching and volunteering   
• Manager/Volunteer - all other OFF ICE volunteering 

I understand that in order to volunteer OFF ICE with MLYHA I:

• Must register as a Manager/Volunteer with USA Hockey and get my USA hockey number
• Must complete the USA Hockey SafeSport Education program prior to volunteering with youth players.
• Must successfully pass a USA Hockey Background Screen prior to volunteering with youth players.

I understand that in order to coach on ice with MLYHA I:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must register as a coach with USA Hockey.
• Must complete the USA Hockey age-specific modules prior to stepping on the ice with youth players.
• Must complete the USA Hockey SafeSport Education program prior to volunteering with youth players.
• Must successfully pass a USA Hockey Background Screen prior to volunteering with youth players.
• Must complete the USA Hockey Coaching Education Program by registering and attending a coaching clinic prior to 12/31.
• Must attend Moses Lake Youth Hockey Coaching Clinics (dates will be provided once coaches are selected).
